I have a dead WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE. I want to move the configuration on this blade to a working one instead of configuring from scratch. What pieces would I need to port over? If you are facing front of the board, on the left side, there are 4 SODIMM like memory modules, 2 on the top level and 2 underneath. I swapped those from the dead board to a working one, but that did not move the config.

TIA

You don't have a copy of the config on your network somewhere? It is always a good idea to keep a current copy of your device configs somewhere, etc. If you have a copy, then just get basic IP info onto the new sup engine and then TFTP the config over. Do you have any PCMCIA flash memory in the old sup? In my experience with 6000 series switches, the config is usually stored here. The SODIMM like modules you reference should be the NVRAM...the config is definitely not there. If you have no PCMCIA in the sup, then the config has to be in the onboard bootflash. The onboard bootflash looks like the older SIMM style memory modules and may even have the words "flash" on them.Hope this helps.
