Wrong time is displayed on 6408D+ phones on G3si V8.2

1. System Updates Time On Station Displays? Y
2. Busy/Release the station doesn’t help.
3. Unplug/Replug phone in jack doesn’t help.
4. Using a RJ-45 cord instead of an RJ-11 doesn’t help.

Can anybody tell me what else I should try?

Yes, the system time is correct.
Phone displays show correct date, but time is 8 hours ahead.
We just started using 6408D+ phones. There were no phones with displays before on this system.

did you try adding a time/date button and pressing it?

Also under 'cha sys feat' system updates time on station displays = Y.

“did you try adding a time/date button and pressing it?”

Yes.

“Also under 'cha sys feat' system updates time on station displays = Y.”

Please see my original post. It is set to Y.

check dst rules make note of which rule is defined,, (most likely rule 1)
Then on set time, make sure rule # is same as the one defined in daylight savings.. (it is probably 0) and on change locations make sure rule is also same

Zen216,

I actually checked all this stuff before and did not find anything wrong, BUT just did it again and found that in “locations” the “Timezone Offset” was set to +08:00. That exactly what was wrong – time was 8 hours ahead on phone displays.
After correcting this field everything is OK now.

Thank you very much Zen216!
The problem is solved.
