Hi,

This is not so much a technical question, but please, I need some help!!

Lucky me, a consortium of charities in the UK have negotiated a deal to get reduced prices on some Cisco equipment. I bought several 877W routers, assuming that I'd be able to configure multiple VLAN's on them (since it says you can on the Cisco website) only to find that when I received them they had the Advanced Security Services software which only supports the default VLAN's. I need the Advanced IP Services software to support multiple VLAN's.

So any ideas how I go about getting the correct software? Allegedly these charity rate products come with a 5 year SMARTNet contract, but I have no idea how to register for this and no documentation about it came with the routers. I've worked with Cisco kit for a while but I've always got new software versions via partner/resellers etc. but with this there is no reseller as such so I need to be able to sort it out myself.

If it had a contract you should have a contract number for smartnet. If you don't have the contract number maybe you can call cisco and they can track it down by device serial number.
