thread181-27567

Hi Folks,
Im trying to adapt the code for the search utility on the above FAQ. However I keep getting the error
"wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment"
when it gets to
"AddToWhere [Find1], "[CustomerName]", MyCriteria, ArgCount"

I have defined the AddToWhere module etc...and used my own field names etc.... just cannot see where Im going wrong.

Please help...this is drivin me nutts...
Cheers
Mike

Sorry to get back so late . . . . heavy church duties this week.

I went over the code in the [blue]FAQ[/blue] and have my doubts about its functionality. Besides, the writer specifically states:
[blue]First you cannot have a Primary key field or it will never work.[/blue]
This alone makes it unsuitable, and I sure hope you do have [blue]PrimaryKeys![/blue]

I'm currently looking over it to see if I can resolve the primarykey problem (possible there just not using the PK in the criteria). I'll let you know in a few days if I'm successful . . . .

Aceman,
Thanks for your help so far. Im wondering if other people who are making this work, have primary fields, or have had to remove them. Not really something Id want to do.
Cheers
Mike
