Write conflicts

In a multiuser setup, I am getting write conflicts when users edit memo fields. When another user opens a record that has been edited an error is generated. The conflict also produces a #Error in the underlying table which renders the record unusable. I have seen the other posts with similar problems, but I'm not sure they offer a solution in my case.
