Hi all,

I recently bought an XPC Shuttle comp, which has video-out on the main board, I've also got a s-vid to scart cable and all I can get on the TV is black and white?

I've gone through all the settings, tried it in PAL and NTCS types, the advanced settings are also showing that it is connected to a generic tv?

All the settings seem to be ok, could it be the cable? If it is it seems odd is the cable is designed for this and its a pretty good one...

Any ideas?

ah! I have half sorted the problem...

I tried another cable ( and an extention to the front of the tv and I get colour fine.

I say it's only half a solution because I was hoping to use a scart connection as I use a multi scart box with ps/2 etc attached and swithed on or off.

Are there any cables that I can use to plug my pc into the scart box?

I found:

It seems SCART connectors have separate in and out. If you do not have both in and out RCA or S-vid on the other end, the cable is probably a SCART out to s-vid in. I assume you want S-vid out from the PC to SCART in. They show an adapter with a in/out switch, might be what you want.

BTW, S-Vid is two signals: one connection for B/W plus another for color.
