We recently upgraded to NW6SP3. Since then, 2 and only 2 workstations have been dropping off (losing mapped drives and connection to e-mail server), but at the same time each day but not necessarily simultaneously.
Both are in the same VLAN. Both have the same client, nics, drivers, etc. as other workstations. Both attach to the same switch as other workstations.

Is there any program/service that Netware runs every few +/- hours?

TIA

Hi -

I had something similar a while back. It ended up being our switch (10/100 Cisco Catalyst 2900). But in my case, once one user dropped, all users started to drop periodically throughout the day.

A temp band-aid was simply restart the switch (and then no problems again for well over a couple months). However, I ended up purchasing a new switch. For some reason, the ports weren't releasing info, and wouldn't allow anything through.

Our Switch is a Nortel Passport 8600. Last night (7/22) I moved both workstations to another card on ports that weren't already assigned to their VLAN. I added the ports to their VLAN & saved the config. Yet it still happened again this afternoon, at approximately the same time.
