When using the Worksheet change event, Is there anyway that you can limit the event to absolute or relative ranges instead of the whole sheet? For example, if certain data is entered in column A, then it is checked for certain formatting..but the data in Column B is checked for another criteria. Thanks

Take a look at the Application.Intersect method

Hope This Help, PH.

Ok, i think i could use that...but i saw a spreadsheet where it seemed that different ranges (not necessarily a whole column) had its own criteria for entering data....if certain data did not have correct data when entered in one range, a msgbox would be displayed and the same for a different range that had different criteria...i wonder if that person specified a certain range e.g. from A10 to A100 where certain code would execute on a certain event, and also if a row was inserted/deleted in a range, then the code would cover that new change...is that possible?
thanks

Hi Luis
Something else you could look at if you're trying to control user input is Data Validation. To a certain degree it would enable what you are asking in your second post.
