Working with recurring events

I have a table containing data with the following


Nvarchar1,DateTime1, DateTime2,ntext3
Funds Weekly Dealing,2008-04-01 00:00:00.000,2027-05-18 23:59:00.000,see below

the value of ntext3 in code quotes

recurrence><rule><firstDayOfWeek>mo</firstDayOfWeek><repeat><weekly tu="TRUE" weekFrequency="1" /></repeat><repeatForever>FALSE</repeatForever></rule></recurrence>

If an event is not repeating then ntext3 is null.

I am really stuck on where to begin with this in SQL server, I need to produce a query that produces the same results as what the C# code in the mentioned article does.

I am trying to extract recuring events from the alluserdata table from sharepoint,

Ive got so far as to cast(ntext3, xml)

in my stored procedure but i can't see how to begin to loop thorugh
