I'm sure someone is going to make me look stupid for asking this, but here's the situation: I recently acquired a laptop with Windows XP Pro, and Office XP Pro. I am currently using this same configuration on my home computer, and had no problems with the workgroup file. On this laptop though, I can't find the default system.mdw workgroup file, or the "WrkGadm.exe" file to change the workgroup.

My home system had Win 2K and Office 2K on it before upgrading to XP, so I'm not sure if that might be the reason I can't find it on my laptop.

Thanks in advance.

OK, I made myself look stupid. In case anyone else is wondering, Access XP integrates the workgroup manager directly into access. Tools\Security\Workgroup....

System.mdw in XP is in C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\Microsoft\Access

This actually makes a WHOLE LOT of sense, because now different users of the same computer can have different workgroups they are members of by default.

I still don't know why a search for either "WrkGadm.exe" or "System.mdw" doesn't find these files though???? (even when searching hidden / slow files...)
