Work Codes Lucent 3g with CMS

I know that if you run an agent trace you can see what work codes have been entered by an agent. What I need to know is howlong does it keep agents workcode data and where can I find out more information on workcodes?

Unfortunately I am only a technical user and My IT dept will not release the manuals. Any help would be great Thanks in advance
