Word97 - Error! No table of figures entries found.

Using Mocrosoft Word97, I get the error above (in subject line) when trying to insert a Table of Figures. There are several figures in my document and I have made captions for them all. However, trying to insert a Table of Figures produces the error. Any ideas?
