Hi all. I noticed that sometimes when I'm creating an autocorrect entry, Word will automatically add an asterick in the 'with' section. Why does it do this and what does that added asterick do?

Also, I wanted to create an autocorrect entry with some formatting applied. I was just testing it out, so I made a simple format of 14 pt. font size in bold. I applied this to two words, and it formats it fine except it keeps going to the next line as soon as I hit the space bar. Why won't it stay on the same line so I can continue typing?
Thanks ahead of time for any help anyone can provide..

Darn. I used to know what that asterick meant, but I can't remember right now.

Regarding the autocorrect, are you sure you did not include a paragraph mark when you created it? If you did, then the paragraph mark will be included.

You will get an asterisk if you try and create a plain text autocorrect using a character which can't be represented in plain text.

Enjoy,
Tony
