One of my users has a problem with Word in that when she either inserts a picture or reads a document with an inserted picture she cannot see the picture. If she double clicks on the picture to go into the Picture Editor she can see it, she tells me that if she plays with the colours etc, she can sometimes get it to display in Word, but I havn't been able to re-create this. She has no problems with pictures in other applications.

We have tried a complete re-installation of MS Office and all it's components. Short of re-imaging the machine, does anyone have any possible solutions.

Many thanks,

Jane

Forgot to mention client is running Windows 2000 Professional SP1 with Office 2000 SP1.

I would do an upgrade to Office 2000 SP2, but we experience problems with Outlook 2000 when we do this.

Thanks,

Jane

Have you checked the setting. . . Tools/Options/View "picture placeholders"

Thanks guys, I've tried both these suggestions and have had a look at the FAQ's, i'm going to have to re-image the machine.

Thanks,

Jane

Sometimes, not having the latest Video Card drivers loaded can cause these symptoms.

You're right, but I have downloaded the latest drivers from the Compaq site and I have also played with the Graphics settings, resolutions, colours etc.

Thanks,

Jane
