Excel guy battling with Word...

Having used special formatting (columns, text boxes) in Word, I want to "take a picture" of the Word document and put it into an Outlook email so that it will appear as it was in the original.

I know how to do this in Excel, but cannot figure it out with Word.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Bob in California

I don’t know that it is possible to do without losing the word formatting. I think that’s one of the reasons PDF's were invented.

Work arounds include:
Convert to PDF (already mentioned)
Attaching the file
Doing a screen capture and inserting as a picture (wastes bandwidth and un-editable).

Have you tried: file/ send to/ mail recipient? (guessing you will not have much success if it is a complex document)

Use SelectAll (Ctrl+A) and then Cut Ctrl+X, then Edit, PasteSpecial and choose Microsoft Word Document Object. This is effectively now a graphic which you can copy and paste into an email.

Just to complete the post...

This is also a great way to rotate text in word. Once you have typed your phrase or whatever, you can select it, cut it and pastespecial as an object: this is rotatable to any angle.

WOW! Great tip, tf1!

Thanks so much. A star for you (highly deserved).
