Word text squishing up to left side

I have a problem with Microsoft Word where occasionally in a document all the text squeezes up with all the letters on top of one another on the left handside of the page.
It only happens sometimes but always with Times New Roman as the font at a size 12 point.
I have changed these settings and it resolves it unless I want to use this font and size.
I have tried running a repair on the installation disk but the same problem occurs again.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I would call Microsoft. You should have at least two free support calls.
