I was wondering if there is a way to format blank space in Word. What I am doing is trying to make charachters stand out for an order form. For example placing an X between two brackets like this...[ ] Is there any way to get the white space in between the brackets to hold a bold property and a larger font without making the brackets any larger or darker? I can't seem to get it to hold anything except what preceeds it. I appreciate any help.

Thanks, Joe

2 ways that I can think of (the second being better). The first is to create a table and format the cell for that table to be whatever point size etc you wish. You can get rid of the borders, BUT, its difficult to place the [] brackets around the cell.

The second way is to create a form field. You can specify the point size, bold etc as normal AND place the [] around the field.

The only thing is that you will have to protect the document for the form field to work.
