Hi Im quite new to going into this much depth with Access and Word. What ive got is a template for minutes for meetings. So in this template ive got people that attended- issues etc basically information from that meeting. I also have an access database with these fields in it. Is there any way of populating my database with the information from my word template?

Thanks for any help

Technically there is, and I am sure there are many ways of doing what you are asking. I have done the opposite; I had to populate a word document with data from a database. So I was pulling data and you want to push the data.

What I did was define bookmarks in the word document and then built a macro in word that would connect to access database and pull the information and place it into the bookmarks. I did this because the client demanded that I provide the information to them in the exact word document (template) they gave me.

However, in you case why not just build a form to enter the data in Access and then a report to publish the minutes for review, distribution ect. If that is absolutely not an option, the adding bookmarks to your document and then loading that information via a macro in the document or code in Access is a valid way.
