Hi all,

I want to page number a Word document (v2002) as follows. Let's say it's a 10-page document.

Here's what I want to accomplish:
...there is no numbering on page 1 and
...page 2 starts with "Page 1 of 9" (NOT Page 1 of 10) and continues through the document as if it never counts the first page at all.

Did I explain that well?
Thanks!!

Best,

Blue,

Separate sheet 1 from following pages by Section Break-Next Page.

In header, turn off Same as Previous.

Insert Page, start @ 1

I did something similar to what tjkay recommends, when I was still using Word 97. Insert a section break on page 1, whicih lets you vary headers and footers. Then click on the header or footer of page 2. You should get an extra toolbar that includes [Page Number Format], the # with a hand grasping it. You can set your starting-point as you wish.
