Word opens for one user, crashes for another 1

When one user on a certain computer tries to open Word, she gets this message:
"WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."
Another user on the same computer has no problem. Does anyone know what's causing this, or where I can look for clues?

First try deleting all instances Normal.dot and then re-start Word.

If that does not fix the problem, delete the user's profile and re-create it. You might want to save user's favorites before deleting the profile.
