Word Document showing edit date as 01/01/1601

Hi All,

Can anyone give me a reason and fix for this I've got a number of word documents that are showing editing dates as 01/01/1601.
I've edited one of the documents and the date has changed to the correct format but one or two are keeping this incorrect date.

I Am 60% sure that it is not a virus as the pc in question is stand alone and not connected to the net or email but can't find anything on the web related to this.

I wont be back online unitl Monday but any answears/queries I'll address asap then.

i think this was the original date the the clock started from when pcs came on the scene.

try saving the document after editing to a new name and see if the time stamp changes.
