word 97 problem

I am adding a Windows server 2003 to my Novell 5.1 server and am slowly joining my workstations to the domain. The workstations are WinXp Pro and running Office 97. As soon as they join the domain Word gives an error message :

This file could not be found.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the spelling of the name of the document.
* Try a different file name.
(C:\path\file name)

Does anyone know anything about this?
