Word 97 Disappearing??

Upon clicking Word icon, to open, Word flashes, as if opening and disappears. Well thats what the client said anyway.

It appears that upon open Word is performing an auto minimize. Why? And how do I fix it?

Any help much appreciated

Here's the most common cause of this behavior when using Word 2000:

I can't seem to find an equivalent Word97 article, but I would expect the same conditions.

Client is running win98.

Wow, I missed that entirely .

Check the Properties of the shortcut that the client is using to open Word - make sure the 'Run' option is set for Normal Window.
