Word 2007 and excel 2007 file taking long time to open

when trying to open MSword 2007 and Msexcel 2007 it is taking long time to open tried repair but bootsrap error is coming Thanks for help

Are you opening files on your own machine or via some Network connection?

I am opening on my machine only and not through network.

Are these files you're opening created in older versions of Office (doc, xls vs. docx, xlsx)??? If so, Office 2007 products open them in compatibility mode which seems to take 4 times as long to open. Once open, SAVE AS and save them as 2007 version.

You mention "a bootsrap error", what is the exact error that you are getting? Are you getting it during normal operation of Office, or only during some repair of Office?

Have you tried running your Office with all other programs prevented from running to see if you can isolate a cause?
