Hi,

How do you retain newly defined styles in Table of Contents option (Insert, Reference, Index & tables, Options and mark styles to be selected), as are the default Heading 1,2 and 3.
I can select the new styles, use them to update my TOC, but I lose them again when I am restarting Word 2003.

Bluehorizon,

In the meantime, I've found the solution.
Appearantly, the TOC only retains the build-in heading styles and outline-level format styles.
Setting an outline level format (paragraph) on my new styles automatically made the new styles available in the TOC.

Anyway, thanks for your reply
