Is it possible to do a print selection from within a table ? If you select an area of the table then 'file' - 'print' the 'print selection' is grey'd out. This was available in older versions of Word. Thanks for looking, even better if you can help !

can't print selection in table.

copy & paste selection - makes new table of selection. print that is OK.

Hi,
To use the "print/selection" method, you need to select the End of line markers on the far right of the table. Use your pointer in the left selection bar to highlight the rows or, if you select in a cell-by-cell basis, make sure you click and drag past the right side of the table.

that only works if entire row selected. does not work if column 1 not part of selection. in 3 column table if select col 2, and col 3, even WITH end of row marker, print selection does not work. (XP/2002)

If you want to print a selected column, try selecting the other columns and temporarily hiding them (Format, Font, Hidden Attribute). You may also need to hide the table borders by applying white borders.
