Word 2002 read only problem

Hi,

when a open a document with FILE + OPEN with Word, the documents are OK. But when I go to windows explorer and I double click in the same document and Word open, the attribute fall Read Only. The attribute as NORMAL NOT READ ONLY I have Windows 2000 and Office 2002.

This usually happens if you have the file open elsewhere.

If it is on a network, and someone else has it open, you will only be able to open it as read only.

When you tried opening it from explorer, did you have a copy of it open already?
