word 2000 automatically prints blank spaces

word 2000 automatically print blank spaces intermittently
between words, so as to break them apart.
these documents were obtain fron outlook as attachements,
copied to hd, edited saved, then printed,(reinstalled printer drivers, did not work). note this only occurs with the attached documents, all other docs prints fine.
Any insighr is much appreciated.
p4, office 2000, win2000 pro., all sp's and updates installed.

Check the document alignment properties. If it is set to give you even margins on left and right, you will get occasional spaces between words. If you don't want this, highlight the entire document and select Left justify option.
