Curious why this is happening, I've got a couple computers all with WinXP, they've each got all the Windows updates and the same version of PowerDVD 5. However, on some computers mpeg-2 files play normally in WMP 9, while on other computers the same mpeg-2 files play choppy for a couple seconds then crash WMP 9. I'd rather use WMP than PowerDVD to view mpeg-2 files because WMP has much better video quality & supports files above 4gig in size (PowerDVD does not).
Is there any reason for WMP 9 & mpeg-2 files to work on some computers but not others?
