I am meeting with a vendor on Witness. Can anyone direct me to some good information so i know a little more before i meet with him. I dont want to overspend on this product, we have about 200 agents. How easy is the install, and usage? Currently operating with CMS4, using MM,CMS and eCAS - thanks in advance.

Witness products look very slick but be very careful they can be very "buggy", if you want to record IP phones you should also look at

NICE Systems
Verint Ultra 10
ASC EVOip
Cybertech
Redbox

perfect, thank you, do you have a personal preference?

I'll try and be impartial but I work for ASC and have worked for both NICE & Verint in the past

NICE - good product but support is awful
Verint (witness) - ultra 10 is very good but their support is going rapidly downhill. Witness is OEM for Avaya but after Verint bought them they haven't got a roadmap for their product
ASC - very good product but very little support in the US
Cybertech - don't know much about them but they used to manufacture recording cards.
Redbox - good product but basic functions. they used to supply the software for the Racal wordnet which in it's day was an excellant recorder. They had a major fallout with NICE when they tookover Racal and set up their own company.

I would recommend ASC for UK/Europe or Verint for the US.

You might want to also look into CallCopy. Great support. After we cabled to the server they had us up and running in a day. I only have 33 agents but I am sure you would get the same support. Our call center managers love the system - they are non-techies and from this side of the house - the administrator - me - drinks coffee and has her feet up on the desk. That is how easy it is to operate and maintain.

I like call copy from what i am reading, seems similar to Witness, i wonder what the pricing diff is? thanks
