I've several Cisco router on my home lab, but I want to add wirless capabilites for my kids computer.
I'm confuse with all the different wireless routers. I need a wireless router that can do wireless, usb and work with my exesiting wired network. I dont want to spend too much on this router.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, something like this may be what your looking for:

I am using this at the moment to feed my Broadband cable into 3 other machines in the house. 2 Hard wired PC's via the inbuilt switch and also a laptop via wireless connection. Works a treat. Presume it will connect into your current network. Think though you may just need a simplar model depending on if you need it to route your internet connection or not...The price of wireless is coming down atm big time too :)

i have the netgear wireless router.. it does superG.. 108mbit and has great range all over my house and front/back yard. right now for the cost make sure you get a wireless G router.. the speeds and range are far better then the older B standard.

just be sure to put on the wpa, or wep encryption so that your neighbors don't start using your internet connection :p

Thanks guys, I like the Linksys WRT54G. What model Netgear are you using, Plshlpme?

im using the Netgear WGT624 Wireless Super G 108Mbps Router

i have that linksys router at work.. and it works well.
i got the netgear because my laptop had the superG chipset on the wireless card already built in. what id does is bonds two channels at 54mbit to make the 108mbit.

either way you should be ok.
