wireless mouse problem

I am having a problem with a wireless mouse on a pc running XP pro. I have had to reload the drivers twice already and the wheel is not working now. I do believe I uninstalled the old mouse drivers, however, in device manager it appears to be showing the old mouse. I'm not 100% sure about that though. In control panel, it does show the mouse as being the intellimouse wireless. I've had no problems with the keyboard. Any ideas?

Time for a new mouse, would be my guess.
But the IntelliMouse (and keyboard) drivers are revised often.

Download a fresh set and update the drivers.

Thanks for the information. I do need to make one correction before I do anything. The mouse and keyboard are labtec products, I believe I may have given some incorrect information in my first post. Please let me know if this makes a diffrence.
