Hi all,
this probably isn't the place for this post... but couldn't find a forum so here goes..

The main difference with wireless G routers is that they are faster then wireless B routers upto 5 times.

Since the broadband companies caps us at a specific limit, we will generally not use this benefit when surfing the web. It will only be good for file transfers from one computer to the other???

All wireless modems say they have the same specs, but how do I know which one is better? I'm thinking about buying a Blitzz wireless router because it's cheap. Does anyone know if this router is any good?

Are all PCI cards the same? Will the data transfer be slower from different types of PCI cards?

thanks

Dave

You pretty much hit it on the head , all you need is an 11B wireless router ,even with this you will trying to push 11 meg down a 1.5 meg cable modem or dsl modem pipe . 11G for home use is really pointless for most home users that just use it for surfing the web . If you are smart stay with the more namebrand wireless stuff like Linksys or Netgear . These can be had for pretty cheap now also , just bought a netgear setup and after rebates it came out to like $25 for the router and $25 for the wireles nic . It works flawlessly too and seems to have very good thruput .
