Hiya folks, have a question here...
I have winXP professional, with Earthlink cable modem, and I also have an AOL account. I want to be able to sign onto my AOL acct. using the cable modem. I know in the configuration it must be set to TCP/IP; LAN setting, which I did...however this is my problem:
Once in a while, I get AOL mail that are large file sizes (like 10MB, 14MB, etc...these email are pics, or work-related files like Photoshop PSDs, Go-Live files, Bryce, etc.) and instead of dl them one by one, I add them to the Auto-AOL feature (that just adds all the mails in one section and then d/l them one by one automaticaly), however the speed is lagging. It feels like its dl them on a dial-up connection. For instance, 10 e-mails all 14MB long should take about 140 min. or so yet it takes me 780 min.!!
Any idea why my AOL is not using the LAN settings to dl at the faster speed?? This happends all times, not just at specific times. BTW, i'm connected via a USB 1.0 connections...
Thanks,
Forget the Nobel Peace prize, I just want to take over the world!! ![[hammer] [hammer] [hammer]](/data/assets/smilies/hammer.gif)
