WinSPM trans data in Spanish

When I connect to the Merlin Magic with WinSPM some times when transfering data it is in Spanish and then will say cannot communicate with Merlin. I have to shut down Merlin and then everything connects ok. Has anyone had this problen and know a fix?

Is this a "DIAL UP" connection?

They can be tempermental at times.

Yes I have several other Magic's that I have no trouble with.
