winsock error 2

On a windows 95 OS, getting winsock 2.0 error. Have downloaded the Windows 95 updates...what next???

I have the same problem with a win95 pc and the winsock error. I ran the winsock updates and it did nothing. Do you get the error message when you try to run winipcfg?

Also you might want to try to uninstall dial-up networking. That worked for me when I had a winsock error a long time ago, but unfortunetly for me this time it didn't help.
