WinNT40 to win2k migration

Hi,

It's been awhile and forgotten some basic stuff. I am planning nt4.0 to win2k migration and was wondering does can my CALs transfer over to 2k or do I need to buy new CALs.

A CAL for NT4 is not valid for 2000, but check with an MS dealer or MS itself, maybe you can get some deal.

If you setup the 2k server licensing for "per seat" and not "per server", then the number of cals the server has does not matter.
