Winnt/systems32/Drivers/ntfs.sys missing or corrupt

When trying to startup my Nt Server I am getting an error message saying that the file
Winnt/systems32/Drivers/ntfs.sys is missing or corrupt

Press R to repair from the original setup CD.

I renamed the ntfs.sys file to ntfsold.sys, got a copy of the ntfs.sys file from a next server and copied it to the Driver directory thinking the the file might be corrupt.

that did not work.

I also looked at the boot.ini file to make sure that everything was pointing correctly.

I tried fixboot still nothing

I am thinking that my drive might have a bad sector

Any suggestions

Did you try copying a version from the service pack level that you are currently at. It could be possible if you are service pack 6a and you are trying to copy it from an original pre-SP3 CD, it might not be compatible or the CD you are copying from maybe corrupted
