When on-line I am consistantly getting the following:
Winknk
This program has preformed an illegal operation ans will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor

Although I seem to recover after closeing the dialog box, and appear to still be connected, not able to move to ANY page afterwards, and do not know the "vendor" for support.

Sounds like you need to update your sound card drivers. Looks like VIA technologies. Check out this site:

I do not have a sound "card". It is onboard device within the motherboard. I did however take your advice and updated the driver through system properties (which is a VIA product). Thank you, hope it helps. I have had other suggestions that winknk is part of the Klez virus, but nothing found. A previous instructor/current mentor suggested today that it is my motherboard / chipset, so I think I'm on the right track with the update. Maybe I just need a NEW computer

You might also want to check for a virus.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Howdy:

If you did your av scan for the klez virii with your installed anti-virus program you just wasted your time !! Klez disables the av program so it can't be detected.

Go to

http://www.antivirus.com

and run their online scanner !!
