how do I use windows XP remote sharing. I need to fix a users home computer remotely and he's running XP home. what is the app that enables me to logon from my computer over the internet?

XP Home? That's problem number one.

But, if you can get around it; you can get PC Anywhere... or something similar.

Hi

Windows XP Home doesn't support running the remote desktop host. I recommend using third party remote control software such as VNC or Symantec PC Anywhere, or Microsoft NetMeeting will do the job.

XP Home does not have Remote Desktop, but can be remotely controlled with Remote Assistance. If you both use windows messenger, have the user send you a request for assistance using messenger. Before sending the request, have the user right click on My Computer, Properties, Remote tab, Advanced Remote Assistance button, and check 'Allow this computer to be controlled remotely'.

I'd be sure to turn off remote assistance when you are through!
