Windows Xp Pro Shutting Down very Slow

I have 3 Units running Win Xp (2 Pro 1 Home) They take anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes to Shut Down. Booting Up is not a problem (about 40 seconds). Any Ideas??? Could it be one of Microsoft's Updates??
Please Help

Do you notice that they take a long at any particular section of shutdown process?
