Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with the following:

I have Windows XP Professional installed on a SCSI drive. I want to copy this installation to a larger IDE drive.

I used Partition Magic Pro 7.0 and the copy was successful, however, I needed to edit the boot.ini using the Revovery Console to change the boot paths.

I got XP to boot, I logged in as normal, but before I get my Desktop it gives me an error, which is something like this:

Windows XP Authorization: Something is preventing this copy of Windows XP from being authorized.

I have copied successfully in the past, IDE to IDE, and without SP1 installed.

Does anyone know anything about this issue that could give me a few pointers.

Much appreciated,

John Franklin
