I have a local network with some PCs using internal IPs of type 192.168.0.x and some PCs with real IPs running XP. The problem is that I can't access the PCs with the internal IPs from the XPs. If I change XPs IP to internal IP it then works, but I want to have the XPs using real IPs. It is not because Netbui is not installed. It is already. The problem is with the different network segmentations.

BTW, the private Class C addresses you are using on your LAN are perfectly real.

You can "multi-home" the XP's requiring both LAN and external IPs. Please be certain to follow Microsoft's advice about excess protocol assignments to make certain this does not lead to very slow local LAN activity by these clients:
What you really should investigate is a hardware router.

The LAN is using a router. The interfaces from and to internal IPs work and the connection between internal and external IPs works.( I can telnet Solaris with internal IP from XP). The problem is on the windows network. XP wont see the internal machines.
