hi everyone !!

I have a notebook with Windows Vista installed. Notebook HP Pavilion dv2000.

So .. When i start the note with Windows XP Pro´s CD. After the CD-ROM read the CD show me a message: "Press ENTER to start the Windows Instalation" or "R to Repair the Instalation" or "F3 to exit".

Type ENTER, R or F3 show me other message saying that doesnt found one local disk, etc ..

The notebook´s hard drive is ATA.

What can i do ?

Thanks a lot !

Press enter.

It will then tell you that there is another OS. Best wipe the disk by deleting the OS partition before installing.

So .. Press ENTER and show me a message that i said above.

I cant acess the Installation Wizard of Windows XP to delete the partition ...

How can i do this ?

Thanks,

Fabio

Windows XP installation needs drivers to pick up the SATA hard drives. You need to press F6 just as the installation is starting and provide the correct drivers for the SATA hard drive. .

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thats the problem..

My notebook dont have a floopy disk ... and the Wizard request ond Diskette ..( ..

And i cant to find the driver to this Hard Drives

Thanks

Problem Resolved !

The support to hard drive SATA should be as DISABLE.
