I have introduced a Windows XP Professional Workstation into a Windows 2000 Domain. The workstation runs a Visual C/C++ applications that utlizes a ODBC connection to a SQL Server 2000 database. My problem is that this workstation seems to drop connections to the Windows 2000 server at least 3-4 times a day. The connection can usually be repaired using the Repair this connection utility provided. But my main concern is why the connection is getting dropped. Does anyone have any answers. Did not have problems in the past with a Windows 2K Professional workstation at same location.
