Well I finally got cheesed off with having to search for all sorts of drivers and not be able to find them.

I have decided to downgrade back to Windows 2000

My problem is I have attempted to boot up off a windows 98 boot disk with the format command copied to the boot disk.

I can now get a command prompt up but cannot see the c: drive.

How can I get to see it so that I can wipe it

Use makeboot.exe from another PC to create boot floppies from win2k cd or alternatively, boot from win2k CD (change BIOS settings to boot from CD first)

The win98 boot disk probably won't be able to detect NTFS formatted disks
