One of our users is trying to convert a Word2000 document to a PDF file, and he is continually getting a Distiller error, and it will not convert...any quick fixes out there? I've gone to his Adobe Acrobat 4.0, then to Acrobat Distiller 4.0, changed some settings, including Embed all Fonts, but I think I may need to change or add some more things, haven't found time yet to read up on this, anyone know what to do to get this to work? (It worked fine before switching from Windows 98 to XP) Thanks in advance!

Any chance he can get upgrade to 5.05? I've had strange errors on win2000 and Distiller 4.

Also, does he have Adobe PDFWriter. It creates the same PDF file but at a lower resolution. I've found that it makes smaller files and takes less time to create. This is an option during the install of Adobe.

One final thought. You said Word2k. Make sure all of the fonts are windows based fonts. If you attempt to PDF documents with Corel/Word Perfect fonts it will fail. Adobe doesn't have a license to convert those fonts. I've had to tell several users to change their fonts before they convert just to be sure.
