When I was running Windows98 SE, I could connect to my company's exchange server remotely by using the Outlook web-client. When connecting to the site ( i would be prompted for:

1) UserName
2) Password
3) Domain Name

... but since upgrading to XP (Home Edition) I am no longer prompted for Domain name, and the login fails.

Anyone got any ideas?

I know that XP HE cannot participate in a domain, it is one of the main differences between HE and Pro. I don't use the web client so I don't know if using it requires logging into the domain. If it does you are out of luck.

On the other hand, if you use XP HE with OL2000 in CW mode or Outlook2002 with an Exchange account and connect directly to the Exchange server others have been successful getting to their mail.

XP Pro can join/logon to a domain, upgrade from HE to XP is 99 bucks I think.

I do have one idea. Try using \\DomainName\Username in the username box. I doubt if it will work but it is worth a try.

You might try posting in the Exchange 5.5 forum here to see if anyone has found a solution.
The two rules for success are:
1. Never tell them everything you know.
