everytime I try to log into Windows update my browser will freeze up at the 25% mark and I have to end Task . Has anyone else had the same Problem And how do I correct the problem? Windows XP Home, 512 DDR ram ,INtel Celeron 1.7 , with a MSI motherboard and INTEL 845 Chipset

Go to:

Tools
Internet Options
Connections
LAN Settings

Make sure that everything under "Automatic configuration" is unchecked.

This worked for me.
