I regularly use Windows Update to load the latest patches. I have a problem in that one of the patches will not stick.
I have installed this patch at least 4 times before I noticed that it was the same one each time.
In attempting to fix this I have:
Run MBSA (Microsoft Security Baseline Advisor) and gotten it happy. (found some patches)
Loaded and run HFNetChkPro and gotten it clean. Found two more patches. It reports that the problem patch (KB835732)
is installed properly.
Found Marc Liron's site and found a similar problem and attempted to use his fix which involved placing a 'dummy' registry key. The registry key for this one already existed and had what looked like valid data in it. No change.
So, any suggestions?
